How is everyone this fine Sunday morning? The sun is shining and I started my day with coffee and blueberry muffins filled with juicy berries. On to reading the Sunday paper, taking notes of activities and things I want to check out. Chloe is at her other Grandma's, spent the night and celebrating her BD and Josie is here.
Josie wants to learn to make butter and lo and behold, there was an article explaining it - you use a food processor or a jar and a marble!!

This week has brought back memories of an earlier time and food, of course. My son and I went to the Conoco's / Stimson's in West Valley. I worked there for seven years and 11 in Layton. If you have never eaten potato logs, you won't know what all the fuss was about? It is a slice of a large potato dipped in - like Colonel Sanders, a special breading and deep fat-fried making it soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, lather on the sour cream and eat; C, J, and M did just that while growing up. Anyway, Jay forgot to buy some and went back later. He said they weren't as good as Mom's, even in a store?... Has to make me feel good. Ha Forward to I am on the Trax... One guy is talking about the DI in Ogden. Other guy says," I haven't been to Ogden in years. I remember eating potato logs with sour cream at Stimson's!"

I dreamed about Stimpson's and potato logs last night. Haven't had them since I was a kid. So what was the coating made from?
